Negotiations Update for Wednesday, March 30
On Wednesday, March 30, the Sacramento City Unified School District (ÈËÆÞÂÒÂ×) negotiations team met with SCTA throughout the afternoon and continues to meet tonight. The district’s negotiations team is also meeting with SEIU this evening.
Today the district passed a proposal to SCTA that further enhances the compensation proposed for SCTA-represented employees by increasing the ongoing salary offer to 3% for the 2021-22, and providing an additional stipend for the 2023-2024 school year to employees still enrolled in the district’s HealthNet benefit plan as of June 30, 2023 equal to fifty percent (50%) of the difference in health benefit premium costs between the HealthNet plan and the Kaiser Plan. This is in addition to the district’s offer to cover 100% of the difference in health benefit premium costs between the HealthNet Plan and the Kaiser Plan in the 2022-23 school year.
The district’s latest proposal would provide a 10.65% increase in compensation for SCTA-represented employees through a combination of one-time stipends and an ongoing salary increase.
